The ordeal reportedly happened in the party hotspot of Magaluf on the island of Mallorca. The resort was widely in the news over previous years due to fights and anti-social behaviour but in the last two holiday seasons, has changed its image to a more friendly atmosphere. Police have yet to update the information on the two injured Brits and it is now known if they are male or female.

Aged 30 and 31, they were allegedly left unconscious near a nightclub on the party strip of bars and nightlife venues.

The two men arrested are both allegedly 19 years old and are believed to be accused of a crime of serious injury. The incident reportedly occurred during the early hours of Sunday, May 24, in the vicinity of a leisure venue.

After the attack, the Civil Guard launched an investigation. The two arrests were made on Tuesday May 26.

Both Swiss nationals were transferred to the appropriate judicial authorities at the Palma courts after being arrested.

The investigation remains ongoing, with efforts continuing to identify, locate, and apprehend the other individuals involved in the attack.
