Royal Mail delivery delays hit 13 UK postcodes today — full list
Some UK residents should brace themselves for postal delays today. Royal Mail have issued an alert, listing 13 postcodes that are currently experiencing disruption.
While Royal Mail’s air and road networks continue to operate as normal, delays are anticipated at six delivery offices. In addition, Dorset Mail Centre has confirmed that not all the post was processed and dispatched on schedule over the past 24 hours, with some due for delivery in the BH and DT postcode areas. In a service update on their website, Royal Mail said: “We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for, six days a week.
“In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors.
“In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers. We also provide targeted support to those offices to address their challenges and restore our service to the high standard our customers would normally receive.”
Six delivery offices are experiencing delays today, including in Oxford, Petersfield, and Whetstone.
