Shocking moment man washes blood off his hands in park after murder | World | News

This is the shocking moment a man calmly cleans his bloodied hands after reportedly murdering his ex-partner in broad daylight in a public park. The horrifying footage shows the alleged killer, Andre Roche Ceron, 48, walking away from the body of the woman that he stabbed in the middle of a park in Figueres, a small town in Girona, Catalonia.

He then proceeded to wash the woman’s blood off his hands in a nearby public fountain at Josep Tarradellas Square in the northeastern Spanish region. A passerby who witnessed the killing was heard shouting, “I don’t know who he is but he’s escaping,” after which local men and an off-duty police officer confronted the man and pinned him down. He was later arrested.

The victim has been named as Kimberli Duran Garcia, 33. She had reportedly obtained a restraining order, which legally prevented Roche Ceron from going near her, just a day before her death.

According to SUR in English, despite being arrested for breaching the restraining order only hours after it was issued, he was released on bail on Tuesday morning (May 19) – six hours before the murder took place.

Figueres Mayor Jordi Masquef expressed his indignation at the judicial failure, stating: “Something has surely failed. We can only condemn this sexist crime and ensure that such scourges are never repeated again in our town or anywhere else.”

This horrific incident comes just months after a British mother of three was murdered by her ex-partner in her Costa del Sol home. Victoria Hart, 33, originally from Solihull, had a restraining order on Juan Antonio Rueda, who killed her in front of their three young children.

She died on January 24 in the town of Alhaurín el Grande, in Andalusia, between Marbella and Málaga. Maxine Hill, who lived in the town and was friends with the popular beauty salon owner, said: “If you looked up the definition of mother, that was her, she did everything for those kids.”

Ms Hill set up a GoFundMe page to support her friend’s children in the aftermath of her death.
