Tesco Clubcard warning as £17m in vouchers unclaimed – ‘last chance’ | UK | News
If you need anything from Tesco, then this is the time to check if you have Clubcard vouchers expiring – with £17 million worth due to expire at the end of the month.
The vouchers, which are valid for two years, need to be exchanged before the clock strikes midnight on the evening of May 31.
More than 24 million households currently hold a Tesco Clubcard, and these vouchers can be used for everything from picking up some essentials at your local Tesco to exchanging with more than 100 Reward Partners, some at triple value.
With half term on the horizon for most of the UK, this could be just the time to check if you have unused vouchers that could be used to treat the family – whether that’s by enjoying a day out at a leading attraction, feasting on some pizza, or streaming your favourite Disney shows.
Most Tesco Reward Partners offer double value on Clubcard vouchers, but seven of the UK’s leading restaurant chains now offer triple value, meaning you can turn as little as 50p of Clubcard vouchers into a reward code for £1.50 off PizzaExpress, ASK Italian, Bella Italia, Frankie & Benny’s, Prezzo Italian, Zizzi or new Clubcard Partner Las Iguanas.
Tesco group membership and loyalty director Shama Wilson said: “This is a big quarter for Clubcard voucher expiry, with more than £17m of vouchers due to expire at the end of May.
“Using your Clubcard vouchers for discounts on food at one of our restaurant partners, for savings on days out at locations across the UK, towards a railcard, or for savings on hotel bookings are all great ways to save money this half term, so I’d encourage everyone to check their Clubcard account to see if they have any vouchers to use up.”
The easiest way to keep track of all your Clubcard vouchers is in the Tesco app, where all of your Clubcard vouchers will be listed in order of expiry, allowing you to see which need to be used up. You can also use the app to keep tabs on how many Clubcard points you have earned and whether you have any coupons for additional savings.
Tesco Clubcard members can earn Clubcard points in a variety of ways, including using their Clubcard when they shop or purchase fuel at Tesco, or when they charge elethe sctric vehicles at Pod charging facilities at Tesco stores.
