The ‘worst’ film of all time gets shocking 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes | Films | Entertainment


A sci-fi action movie is frequently described as the worst movie ever made and it has a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever follows two opposing secret agents who team up to fight a common enemy, but the plot is slightly confused.

The film’s synopsis reads: “Haunted by the mysterious death of his wife, Jeremiah Ecks has become a recluse, but the former FBI manhunter is blackmailed back into service to track down an unstoppable ex-DIA operative, code-named Sever, who has kidnapped the young son of the head of a secret committee of international security agencies.”

Released in 2002, the film stars Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu and was directed by Wych Kaosayananda.

Critics universally found fault with Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. The film underperformed at the box office, becoming knonw for bombing at the box-office for grossing $20.2 million on a production budget of $70 million. It has the most bad reviews for a film with a 0% approval rating and is the worst-reviewed film in the history on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Rotten Tomatoes consensus reads: “A startlingly inept film, Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever offers overblown, wall-to-wall action without a hint of wit, coherence, style, or originality.”

One critic on Rotten Tomatoes wrote: “If you must see Ecks vs. Sever, just go bang your head against the wall for an hour and a half. It would be the same effect.”

“I guess not every bad movie has a cult following in its future. Some of them are just kinda bad,” another added.

A top critic said: “An action film starring Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu, Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever looks like a video-game promo, has a story that plays like the fifth episode of a struggling syndicated action show, and feels like a headache waiting to happen.”
