Reports coming out of Spain suggest a swap deal between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid is being considered.

COPE claim that Atletico are studying the possibility of letting Julian Alvarez leave for Arsenal, if they receive Viktor Gyokeres in return.

The Spanish side have closed the door to any negotiations with Barcelona, while links with Paris Saint-Germain have cooled in recent weeks.

Atletico are exploring the possibility of acquiring Gyokeres in any deal for Atletico, though they would seek a fee between £34million and £51m also.

Alvarez’s preference is to join Barcelona.
