Trent Alexander-Arnold‘s brother fired back at Liverpool supporters in a wild social media rant after the Reds were knocked out of the Champions League. They were beaten over two legs by PSG without scoring a goal, leaving their ambitions of European glory in tatters. Alexander-Arnold also suffered a painful exit with Real Madrid, who bowed out at the hands of Bayern Munich.

His brother, Marcel, was streaming a watchalong of Real Madrid’s second leg when he launched into a tirade against his brother’s former club. During the half-time interval, a viewer asked him: “Weren’t you a Liverpool fan the other week?” This appeared to rattle Marcel, who responded angrily and reminded Liverpool fans that their team “got cooked yesterday”.

He fumed: “I am a Liverpool fan but the hate that comes in here comes purely from Liverpool fans. So I will stand on business.

“Listen, I am a Real Madrid fan but when Liverpool win, I’m happy to see them win. But I care more about my brother than I care about Liverpool. Simple as that.

“So if someone is hating on my brother, I will roast whatever team you support. If it’s Liverpool, then so be it. Your team got cooked yesterday. Relax.

“I want Liverpool to win but if you’re trying to violate my sibling to try and get happy because your team lost, then I will roast you. How do you know what team I support? It’s only Liverpool people who would come into this chat and actively try to hate.

“A Bayern Munich fan isn’t about to sit on my channel, or a Barcelona fan that speaks purely Spanish. More importantly, I’m going to go p***, much like PSG did to your team yesterday, like [Ousmane] Dembele did to your team yesterday. Goodbye.”

Alexander-Arnold has copped plenty of flak since deciding to quit Liverpool to join Real Madrid last year. Since then, Marcel has been quick to defend him when targeted by Reds supporters on social media.

He even fired back at UFC star Paddy Pimblett, a famous Liverpool fan who described the right-back as a ‘rat’ and a ‘lizard’ during an appearance on A League Of Their Own.

“He betrayed his boyhood club who did everything for him, made his life what it is today, and he’s went to Real Madrid thinking he’s going to be the next David Beckham,” added Pimblett. “And now he’s warming the bench up for [Dani] Carvajal. It’s poetic justice at its finest.”

Marcel responded to the clip by mocking Pimblett over his defeat to Justin Gaethje in the octagon, saying: “Paddy, you got banged by a 37-year-old. That’s poetic justice.

“You were warming Justin Gaethje’s gloves up with your face, that’s poetic justice. You tried to box with a boxer and then got banged. That’s poetic justice, simple as that.

“Come back when you’ve won a championship belt. We all know you’re not getting past Ilia [Topuria], you didn’t get past Justin Gaethje and you won’t get past Arman [Tsarukyan]. So when you’ve got a championship belt, you can talk like this.”
