World Cup LIVE: Brazil vs Morocco, VAR fury, Scotland vs Haiti teams | Football | Sport

Hello and welcome to Express Sport‘s live coverage of all the latest 2026 FIFA World Cup news on Sunday, June 14.

Scotland kick off their World Cup campaign against Haiti in Boston as they look to take a huge stride towards qualifying for the knockout stages. In the other side of their group, Brazil are currently level with Africa Cup of Nations finalists Morocco.

Ismael Saibari opened the scoring after Carlo Ancelotti’s side were carved open through the middle. However, Vinicius Jr equalised before half-time in what was a reality-check of a first-half for the record holders.

However, England’s preparations for the World Cup were rocked after they fell victim to a brazen theft as they relocated from Miami to Kansas City. Harry Kane in particular was a victim as his boots and training clothes were taken during the incident.

The Three Lions are putting the finishing touches to their preparations for their opening Group L game against Croatia on Wednesday (9pm BST) but they have had to deal with the reported theft of football boots. Enquiries are ongoing to establish just exactly how the attempted heist played out, but Sky Sports News have since provided an update saying that most items have been recovered.

While police in Kansas are trying to ascertain how this happened, Boston authorities have been greeted by the sight of tartan and blue dominating the area, as Scotland fans descended. Their World Cup campaign kicks off at 2am tomorrow morning, but the celebratory Scots were savouring the moment long before kick off.
