Scottish Grand National 2026 runners as full 21-horse list confirmed | Racing | Sport
The 21-horse line-up has been confirmed for the Scottish Grand National, which takes place on Saturday. English Grand National-winning trainer Willie Mullins has raised eyebrows by entering just one horse into the race.
He will be looking to build up his success with I Am Maximus last weekend iwth Road To Home. The trainer has won the event for the last two years with Macdermott and Captain Cody.
The favourite for the race in Ayr is King Of Answers, trained by Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore. Other notable runners include Kim Roque (trained by Joseph O’Brien) and Quebecois, who secured a second-place finish at Cheltenham.
Owner JP McManus is also looking for double success following I Am Maximus’s victory, with Montregard competing in the race.
