Tennis LIVE: Wimbledon statement after all matches suddenly suspended | Tennis | Sport
BBC commentators Annabel Croft and Andrew Castle were left scratching their heads at a Wimbledon tanoy announcement.
Croft said:” Well, play has suspended here. It is quite an unusual situation as the heat is wreaking havoc with the electronic line calling system all aroud the ground.”
A tannoy announcement then revealed play was suspended and wouldn’t return until 1pm.
It signed off with a message to fans to make sure they’re staying hydrated.
Croft: “Well there we are, you heard it there, no play before 12.45pm and they say ‘stay hydrated’.
Castle: “We don’t need to be told to drink, quite frankly. It is seriously hot.
